CNC Turning Equipment
Our equipment is primarily manufactured by Okuma and includes thirteen 2-axis and 4-axis horizontal CNC lathes. Our four machining centers provide highly precise horizontal and vertical operations for milling and drilling. We can perform CNC OD grinding as well as manual grinding using any one of our several models that boast top of the line controls, drives, and spindles.
Secondary Operations
Besides our large diameter CNC turning capabilities, we offer in-house secondary services that include honing, thread forming, cylindrical grinding, and phosphating. Our carefully vetted, highly reliable outsource partners can assist with thermal spray coating, flame hardening, Blanchard grinding, heat treating, ion or salt nitriding, carburizing, stress relieving, and induction hardening. For threading operations, we’ll meet virtually any customer specified tolerance requirements. Our services are turnkey and we take the lead in all raw materials purchasing, machining, shipping, and subcontracting for an array of projects.

Job Description
The client required production of large quantities of a high volume Inconel tubes made from Inconel bar.
Challenge
The Inconel bar stock is very hard and extremely challenging to drill using high quantities of expensive drilling inserts.
Solution
With our extensive experience machining hard and heat resistant materials paired with knowledge from one of our leading tooling providers, we were able to test and implement an innovative coated insert that reduced tool wear with increased Inconel machining performance.
