Secondary Operations

Besides our large diameter CNC vertical turning capabilities, we offer in-house secondary services that include honing, thread forming, cylindrical grinding, and phosphating.  Our carefully vetted, highly reliable outsource partners can assist with thermal spray coating, flame hardening, Blanchard grinding, heat treating, ion or salt nitriding, carburizing, stress relieving, and induction hardening.  Our services are turnkey and we take the lead in all raw materials purchasing, machining, shipping, and subcontracting for an array of projects.

Job Description

Client in the fracking industry needed a 200 lb. forging machined.

Challenge

As the client’s needs evolved and increased quantities were needed, manufacturing with existing equipment was inefficient and became costly.

Solution

To provide pricing relief, China Machined Parts adjusted by investing $500K in a cell that included a dual spindle CNC vertical turning lathe, CNC mill, and a gantry system to efficiently move the heavy parts. By acquiring the proper equipment, we were able to increase capacity and execute the job while keeping pricing aggressive for the client.
